About Greiner Industries

OUR HISTORY
In April 1976, Frank Greiner started his own welding business in a one-car garage in Mount Joy, Pennsylvania. The business was initially named “Frank Greiner Welding & Fabricating”.  Thanks to his talent and unwavering commitment to making quality products, Mr. Greiner’s business quickly grew.

Within two years, Mr. Greiner constructed a 30,000 square-foot shop along PA Route 230 near Elizabethtown. It housed welding, custom metal fabrication and millwrighting operations. Blasting and painting facilities soon followed.

Mr. Greiner purchased his first crane in 1978 to provide turnkey service to his customers. The hydraulic crane, a 15-ton Galion, allowed the company to greatly expand its millwrighting capabilities.

In August 1979 the company was incorporated and the name was changed to “Greiner Industries, Inc.”

By 1986, the company was again on the move. Greiner Industries purchased more than 45 acres along PA Route 283 between Mount Joy and Elizabethtown. An office, machine shop and 60,000 square-foot fabrication shop were erected. This was soon followed by another steel bay to fabricate girders, duct work, pressure vessels, storage silos and countless other customer projects.

In 1989, a separate blasting and painting facility and a vehicle maintenance garage were added. Throughout the 1990s and early 2000s, Greiner Industries continued to expand our capabilities and grow the number of loyal clients we serve.

Today, Greiner Industries is one of the largest job-shop structural steel fabrication company in our area. We continue to evolve with the industry in order to remain the leader in what we do. And there’s no sign of us slowing down.
