Greiner has grown by leaps and bounds since the business began in 1976.
What started as a welding business in a one-car garage in Mount Joy, PA has now grown into a massive steel fabrication facility with over 450,000 square feet of work area under roof and 140-ton maximum lifting capacity – and just a few miles from where the one-car garage once stood. Our location also gives us convenient transportation access to major highways throughout the Mid-Atlantic.
Fabrication Shop
- Primary fabrication bays 80-ft wide x 600-ft long
- 140-ton maximum lifting capacity with 31-ft hook height of all overhead cranes
- Girder Builder – able to fit and weld Girders up to 12ft deep by 150ft long and weighing up to 140-tons
- CNC Drill Line – able to drill & cope I-beams up to 40″ high by 750 lbs/foot
- SubArc Welding Manipulator with 19′-4″ reach by 20ft lift and fully integrated 30-ton tank turning rolls – can turn up to 25-ft diameter
- 30-ft x 50-ft leveling bed permanently installed in shop floor

Machine Shop
- CNC Gantry type Double Column Machining Center – 10ft by 66ft table with 140″ working height and 120-ton weight capacity
- Custom-built CNC Vertical Turning Center (VTC) with 13ft dia. table and 80-ton weight capacity
- CNC horizontal boring mill with a 12-ft high x 30-ft long machining envelope
- CNC drilling – 10-ft x 10-ft drilling area

Rolling & Forming Highlights
- Can Roll up to a 8-1/2″ thick 50,000 psi x 13.33-ft wide plate -OR- a 5-1/2″ thick 100,000 psi x 13.33-ft wide plate to a 100″ diameter
- Can roll up to a W44” x 262-lb beam the hard way (X-X axis) and any beam the easy way (Y-Y axis)
- Can roll a W40” x 211-lb. beam to a radius less than 100-ft with almost no distortion
- Can Heat Induction form pipe up to 24” OD with 2” wall thickness – also able to form square and rectangular tubing
Cutting
- 5-axis waterjet cutting system – 14-ft wide x 40-ft long x 60” high cutting envelope
- Laser cutting system can cut up to 5/8” thick stainless steel and 3/4″ thick carbon steel plate.
- CNC dual-gantry 400amp high-definition plasma with tool changers – 14-ft wide by 127-ft long down-draft table.
- Can cut up to 5” thick carbon steel plate
- Can cut up to 6-1/4” thick stainless steel plate (on a separate 800amp cutting system)
- CNC 5-Axis Pipe Cutting System – 2” to 36” pipe diameter by 1-1/2″ max. wall thickness by 42ft max. length.
- CNC Anglemaster – Cutting and Punching Flat Bar and Angles – up to 8” x 8” angle x 1” thick
- Beam Splitter – Rotary Shear cuts I-beams into tees
Industrial Blasting & Liquid Coatings
- 500-ft long environmentally compliant facility
